Zeekr 009 Updated In China: Assisted Driving & 900V Platform

The Zeekr 009 electric MPV has already been given an update in China.

The Zeekr 009 has been around for some years now and in China this electric MPV is starting to lose a bit of its shine. Monthly sales have dipped below 1,000 units in its domestic market as competition heats up and rivals out-do it in tech. In response, Zeekr has officially announced the updated 2026 model will feature two major improvements. Here’s what they are.

The first major change is a switch to a 900V high-voltage architecture, which ought to improve charging times and potentially improve efficiency and power output. Two powertrain options are available, a single motor version with 422 horsepower and 440Nm of torque.

This version has a 108kWh ternary lithium battery with a claimed range of 740km on the CLTC protocol. The dual motor version has all-wheel drive with a total power output of 925 horsepower and 913 Nm of torque. This version gets a larger 115kWh ternary lithium battery

The other major change comes in the form of the new Thor-U driving assistance chip and LiDAR. The new silicon is rated at 700 TOPS and is used to power the Qianli Haohan H7 G-ASD system, which is Geely-developed. The system comes with a tonne of active safety features including the ability to provide some degree of ‘semi-autonomous driving’.

To reflect this new ability, the exterior has been updated with six blue-green auxiliary lights on the front, side and rear. These light up as per regulation when the vehicle is in assisted driving mode.

The rest of the exterior is very similar, but there are some minor changes to the fog light trim. The interior features a few changes as well – a new steering wheel, a ‘crystal knob’ on the centre console. The second row seats have been enhanced and now features more advanced massage functions with a version with rotating seats. Check out the original report on CarNewsChina.
