Silo season 3’s significant character change revealed in new teaser

Silo season 3’s highly anticipated return isn’t far off, and a new clip has revealed a big change that awaits Rebecca Ferguson’s character, Juliette Nichols.

When Apple first announced Silo’s upcoming return, it debuted a teaser trailer that offered a first glimpse at what to expect.

That trailer hinted that season 3 would delve into the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of the various silos being created.

Today’s new teaser, however, offers arguably a more spoiler-laden glimpse into season 3 by focusing on one character’s evolution: that of Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette Nichols.

Apple TV shared the new clip via Rotten Tomatoes on X:

As seen in the brief clip, Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette character becomes the new mayor of the silo.

This public role is quite a departure from where the character began in the series.

At the start of season 1, Juliette was a mechanic who preferred staying out of the public eye, and essentially was coerced into the sheriff role. But over the course of two seasons, her role in the spotlight increased significantly. This mayoral position simply formalizes a leadership role that was already thrust upon her.

Silo season 3 premieres Friday, July 3 with its first episode, with weekly releases through September 4.

If you’re anxious to find out what happens next, Silo is based on a trilogy of popular novels by Hugh Howey. Seasons 3 and 4 will each cover aspects of books 2 and 3.
