Tesla opens Experience Centre at Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru, Model Y L deliveries have started in Malaysia

Tesla Malaysia has officially opened its newest Experience Centre at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru, marking another expansion of its retail footprint in Malaysia.

At the same time, Tesla has also started deliveries of the new six-seater Model Y L, just two months after it was launched locally in April.

Located at G-019 South, Mid Valley Southkey near Sogo, the new Tesla Experience Centre spans 3,300 square feet and serves customers from both Malaysia and Singapore. It’s also currently the biggest Tesla Experience Centre in Malaysia.

The new experience centre allows customers to view Tesla Malaysia’s full EV lineup in one location. This includes the Tesla Model 3, Model Y and the newly introduced Model Y L.

As announced previously, Tesla has also installed four Superchargers on the Ground Floor, North of Mid Valley Southkey near St. Giles Hotel.

Tesla Model Y L deliveries begin in Malaysia

Malaysian customers have started collecting their keys of the new Model Y L. This is Tesla’s latest addition to its local lineup and it is also Tesla Malaysia’s first 3-row 6-seater option.

The Tesla Model Y L Premium is priced from RM260,000 before options. This Long Range AWD EV is rated for up to 681km of range, has a top speed of 201km/h and a 0-100km/h time of 5.0 seconds.

Cross-border service and charging support now available across Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand

Tesla says all Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L vehicles registered in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand now have access to cross-border service and support coverage across the three countries for greater peace of mind. This includes access to Tesla’s charging network, connectivity services and service warranty coverage.

According to Tesla, owners are can get access to support through 9 Tesla Service Centre and Service Express locations as well as 12 Tesla Approved Body Shops across the region.

For customers subscribed to Premium Connectivity, they will fully enjoy roaming coverage, infotainment and AI features, such as Grok, Internet browser, live traffic & navigation, trip planner, video and music streaming etc.

As of early 2026, Tesla operates 19 Supercharging stations with 84 Superchargers and 17 Destination Charging stations with 73 Destination Chargers across Malaysia. Tesla said more charging locations are planned for the Klang Valley, Penang, Perak and East Malaysia.
