Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (LaLaport BBCC) has officially launched its LaLaport Transportation Hub (LTH), a facility within the mall that offers bus, rail, and airport transfer services for both local and cross-border travellers.

The hub was officiated today (16 July) by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh, with Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Fadlun Mak Ujud and Japan’s Ambassador to Malaysia Noriyuki Shikata also in attendance.

LTH has been operating in phases since February this year.

It is approved by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and licensed by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) as an official transport hub, serving express bus routes between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

What Travellers Can Expect

Located on Level LG1 of the mall’s East Atrium, the hub is easy to find, with ample signage throughout the mall directing visitors to the entrance.

It features 11 bus bays, an air-conditioned waiting lounge, ticketing counters, self-service kiosks, and a real-time bus schedule display.

Passengers also have access to ATMs, money changers, luggage lockers, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, and facilities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

The hub is directly connected to Hang Tuah LRT and Monorail stations, with nearby access to the MRT line. It also offers:

About 30 bus operators run through the hub, with up to 150 buses departing daily on a 24-hour schedule, mainly serving the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore route.

One Stop For Everything

For everyday travellers, the hub means one less transfer to worry about — buses, trains, e-hailing, airport vans and mall amenities are all under one roof instead of scattered across the city.

Cross-border travellers heading to Singapore no longer need to hunt for separate bus terminals, and those catching a flight can book a direct shuttle to KLIA without arranging separate transport.

Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Malaysia Managing Director Masayoshi Saito said the hub was designed to support the government’s sustainable mobility agenda and to give travellers something to do while they wait, pointing to the mall’s roughly 300 stores and dining options.

The hub is operated by Asia Success Resources Sdn Bhd, which also manages operations at KLIA Terminal 2, with design input from Japan’s Semba Corporation.
