Six face court over alleged rape of same 15-year-old girl in Perlis

SIX males, including five teenagers, are facing court proceedings over the alleged rape of the same 15-year-old girl in two separate incidents in July.

At the Kangar Sessions Court, Muhammad Nabil Naufal Rosli, 18, pleaded not guilty to allegedly raping the girl at a house in Simpang Empat at about 2am on July 18.

The charge was brought under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, which carries up to 20 years’ imprisonment and whipping upon conviction.

Sessions Court Judge Sharifah Norazlita Syed Salim Idid allowed Naufal bail of RM7,000 with one surety, against the RM12,000 sought by the prosecution.

The court also ordered him to report to a nearby police station on the first day of every month until the case is concluded and prohibited him from contacting or interfering with the victim and prosecution witnesses.

The unemployed accused, who lives with his parents in Arau, is represented by lawyers Mohamad Alif Farhan Mohamad Supian and Zuhair Ahmad Zakuan.

The court fixed Oct 9 for the submission of documents related to the case.

Meanwhile, at the Kangar Magistrate’s Court, five male teenagers aged between 15 and 17 pleaded guilty to two separate charges of allegedly raping the same victim as a group.

Two of the teenagers were charged over an alleged incident between about 3am and 4am on July 18.

One of the 15-year-old accused also faces a second charge together with three other teenagers, involving an alleged incident between about 2am and 5am on July 19 at the same residence.

Both charges were brought under Section 375B of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment of between 10 and 30 years upon conviction.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Alia Suzila Chek Pi prosecuted the case before Magistrate Ana Rozana Mohd Nor.

The five teenagers were represented by National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK) lawyer Wan Nursyaheedah Wan Najmi.

The court granted four of the accused bail of RM500 for each charge, while the 15-year-old facing two charges was granted bail totalling RM1,000.

The case was fixed for mention on Oct 7 for the submission of moral reports, case facts and further orders. - September 8, 2026
