Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the government will add more services to the MyGOV Malaysia app by the end of the year as it continues linking digital services across ministries and agencies. He told the Dewan Rakyat on 22 October that the effort forms part of the GovTech Malaysia plan to simplify dealings with the government and reduce the need for people to submit the same information repeatedly to different agencies.

As at 8 October, the app had recorded 3,199,120 downloads and 3,014,096 active users. It currently integrates 62 services from 22 public-sector agencies and uses MyDigital ID as a single sign-on. Available functions already include checking and paying summonses, applying for a replacement MyKad, checking prices of goods, obtaining travel and licence information, managing health appointments, checking examination results and searching for unclaimed money.

The Digital Ministry recently enabled MyKad replacement applications directly inside the app, covering normal, damaged and lost cards, provided users have the latest version and a MyDigital ID login. New services under development include TanyaKerajaan, an AI-based information and assistance tool, along with MyPersona for more personalised services and MyAppointment for managing bookings.

Separately, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reported that MyDigital ID had reached 14.2 million registrations as of 7 October, with 82.75 million login transactions recorded since 2024 and more than 200,000 daily transactions. The platform supports more than 200 applications across the public and private sectors and uses cryptographic measures including public key infrastructure, SHA-256 hashing and multi-factor authentication. The government is also preparing to adopt post-quantum cryptography to address future threats.

For users, the updates mean more government tasks can now be started from a single phone app rather than separate counters or websites, though full coverage across all agencies is still being built out.
