All you need to know about Vogue Singapore’s Next In Vogue 2024

Building on the success of its debut last year, Vogue Singapore is bringing back ‘Next In Vogue’ on 16 and 17 October at The Capitol Theatre and The Capitol Kempinski Hotel. This second edition will unite leading minds from around the world to share insights on the future of fashion, beauty, and culture.

With support from the Singapore Tourism Board, the multi-day event includes a conference, beauty masterclasses, a fashion exhibition and a groundbreaking digital fashion showcase. The fashion affair will also spotlight a regional perspective by gathering designers from Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia for the exclusive, invite-only Vogue Singapore Gala on 18 October at The Capitol Theatre.

“Next in Vogue highlights our role as a catalyst for change in Southeast Asia, bridging global trends with local talent to create a dynamic platform that fosters collaboration and shapes the future of our industry. It’s more than an event; it’s a space where innovation thrives and new ideas come to life,” says Bettina von Schlippe, publisher of Vogue Singapore.

Read on to find out what you can look forward to at the event.

1. Tune in to dialogues themed on ‘AI and I’

As technology continues to evolve, it’s only natural that Artificial Intelligence emerges as the key topic of conversation, investigating its impact across various industries and the crucial role of human interaction in our ever-more digital landscape. On the first day of Next in Vogue, the focus will be on the dynamics between emerging technologies and the future of creative industries. Day two will examine this idea from a human perspective, analysing how businesses, artists and leaders are adjusting to rapid change.

Among the esteemed speakers are Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu; Cyril Foiret, founder of Maison Meta; Calum Knight, creative director of SHOWstudio; and Mollie Rogers Jean De Dieu, Managing Director of Longchamp Singapore and Malaysia.

In addition, Vogue Singapore will introduce a special instalment of the Next In Vogue Conversations podcast, exploring themes tied to the event. Produced by Poddster, attendees can look forward to enjoying live podcast recordings at an on-site station created in partnership with the podcast production studio.

2. Admire the elegance of red carpet styles by Asian designers

Vogue Singapore is set to unveil an exhibition showcasing red-carpet looks by Asian designers, many of whom will be debuting their creations in the Garden City for the very first time. The ‘Vogue Closet’ section features Asian-American designer Chet Lo, Vietnamese designer Cong Tri, and avant-garde Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta, who has dressed Hollywood celebrities like Beyoncé and Cardi B.

3. Witness the best of fashion technology

Brought to you by the Digital Fashion Designers Council (DFDC), the ‘Vogue Innovation Showcase’ offers three engaging activities that redefine the intersection of fashion and technology. One highlight is the groundbreaking hologram digital fashion experience, developed by DFDC in collaboration with MAD Global and Future Front Row.

Other than that, there are impressive augmented reality installations, designed in partnership with FFFace.me, featuring prestigious heritage brands like Prada and Balenciaga. Lastly, the showcase includes immersive brand experiences delivered through live demonstrations on the Apple VisionPro, crafted in partnership with Cash Labs and Nomtek.

4. Enrol in the beauty masterclasses

Hosted in the ‘Vogue Glam Room,’ these masterclasses delve into haircare, skincare and beauty. In the hair segment, Australian brand Kevin Murphy takes centre stage, showcasing the art of creating vintage-tailored looks with its high-quality tools and products.

In the makeup segment, attendees will explore Shu Uemura’s 2024 Holiday limited edition collection while learning valuable tips and tricks. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on makeup session with a certified Shu Uemura artist trained in Japan.

Meanwhile, the skincare segment will be spearheaded by SK-II, inviting guests to find out more about its luxurious product line, including the LXP Ultimate Perfecting Series. Guests will benefit from exclusive masterclasses hosted by brand educators and the chance to experience the Magic Scan displays.

5. Build connections at the lounge

For a well-rounded experience, make your way to the dedicated area for a networking session, accompanied by fine beverages from the leading luxury Scotch whisky brand, Royal Salute and the renowned Mexican tequila, Don Julio.

6. Discover the top offerings from Dyson and Zalora

Over these two days, you will have the chance to explore Dyson and its innovative lifestyle wearable, the Dyson Ontrac, and enjoy curated selections of high-end fashion and beauty from Zalora.

Tickets are priced at SGD 58 for a one-day pass and SGD 78 for a two-day pass. Each ticket comes with an exclusive Vogue Singapore tote bag, crafted with a carbon-capturing treatment by COzTERRA, the winner of the Vogue Singapore Innovation Prize. For more details on Next In Vogue, click here.
