Woman scarred after tree falls on car in Betong

KUCHING (Dec 21): A woman escaped with a scar on her face after a tree fell on her sedan car at Jalan Bengang, Kampung Asam in Betong on Friday evening.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement, they received a call on the incident at 6.57pm and a team from the Betong fire station was rushed to the scene.

Bomba rescuers, alongside Civil Defence Force personnel, extricated the victim from the vehicle before sending her to Betong Hospital for further treatment.

The rescue team the cut the fallen tree and conducted clean up on the debris.

The operation ended at 7.43pm.
