Sarawakian duo shine on national stage, secure ‘America’s Got Talent’ auditions

KUCHING, June 14: The captivating performances of two young dancers from Sarawak on the ninth season of ‘Kids Got Talent Malaysia’ earned them not only top honours but also the rare opportunity to audition for ‘America’s Got Talent’.
According to a media release, representing Alexis DanceSport Studio, Ooi Shee Le clinched the championship title with a Latin routine that paid homage to the classics.
“Her precise technique, mature stage presence, and artistic expression left a lasting impression, firmly establishing her as a rising star in the Malaysian dance scene,” said the press release.
Meanwhile, Belle Wong Ching Ching, affectionately nicknamed ‘Little Nezha’, secured the second runner-up position with a performance that fused Latin dance with the spirit of the legendary Chinese folk hero.
“Her vibrant interpretation vividly conveyed Nezha’s courage and energy, earning her high praise from the judges for both originality and execution.
“Their success not only marks a significant personal milestone but also brings great pride to Sarawak. By advancing to the audition stage of America’s Got Talent, these two young talents have placed East Malaysia on the international map of performing arts,” said the press release.
Alexis DanceSport Studio coaches Alexis Jap and Ker Sing expressed their commitment to continuing to nurture globally competitive dancers and empowering young talent to pursue excellence on the world stage.
