Proton e.MAS 7 in Black exterior and limited White interior

Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle (EV), the Proton e.MAS 7, has gotten a refresh with new colour options along with a couple of extras. This includes a tonneau cover for the boot and an enhanced Power Pack+ sales package to sweeten the deal.

Up to end May 2025, a total of 3,399 Proton e.MAS 7 EVs have been registered in Malaysia and it remains the most popular EV for 2025 so far.

Proton e.MAS 7 now available in Obsidian Black

If you prefer your EV in black, Pro-Net has finally introduced a new Obsidian Black exterior option following strong demand from the public. This new black option for the Proton e.MAS 7 is offered for both Prime and Premium variants but it still retains the same Indigo Blue interior as its current models.

In total, there are now six colour options to choose from which include Lithium White, Turquoise Green, Slate Grey, Platinum Silver and Quartz Rose.

With the on-going RM4,000 launch rebate that’s offered to the first 6,000 buyers, the Proton e.MAS 7 Prime is currently going for RM105,800, while the higher-spec Proton e.MAS 7 Premium is going for RM119,800.

To recap, the Proton e.MAS 7 Prime and Premium both come with a single front motor that pushes 160kW (215hp) and 320Nm of torque. It has a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 175km/h.

The e.MAS 7 uses Aegis Short Blade LFP battery with 49.52kWh capacity for the Prime version that can deliver up to 345km of WLTP-rated range. Meanwhile, the Premium model gets a larger 60.22kWh battery that can do up to 410km of WLTP-rated range.

Both Proton e.MAS 7 variants support three-phase 11kW AC charging. For DC fast charging, the Prime supports up to 80kW while the Premium can support higher charging rate of up to 100kW. Both models can charge from 30-80% in about 20 minutes.

Another new update announced today is the inclusion of the tonneau cover for the boot as standard for better privacy. If you’re currently an existing Proton e.MAS 7 owner, you’ll be happy to know that you will soon receive it for free.

Limited Edition Proton e.MAS 7 with Alabaster White interior

As spotted earlier during the Proton e.MAS 7 tour, the EV with a dual-tone white interior is an interesting option as it makes the car look roomier and spacious on the inside.

For those who prefer a brighter interior, Pro-Net is also offering a limited number of Proton e.MAS 7 units with the exclusive Alabaster White interior.

This exclusive interior colour option is only available for the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium in either Quartz Rose and Turquoise Green exteriors. If you’re interested, you’ll have to act fast as they are only 250 units available for each of these colours.
