Dyson PencilVac ultra thin vacuum to launch in Malaysia soon

Dyson has introduced a new series of machines at the company’s “Unveiled” launch event in Berlin. This includes several of the brand’s next-generation vacuum and floor care products that will soon be available in Malaysia.

Dyson PencilVac: 38mm thin design with Fluffycones

First unveiled back in May this year (2025), the Dyson PencilVac is the brand’s thinnest yet, measuring at just 38mm in diameter, which the brand says is identical to its latest hair dryers. Despite its size, it is powered by Dyson’s new Hyperdymium 140k motor, which spins at up to 140,000 rpm, and is said to have approximately the same diameter as a 2 Euro coin.

Inside the cleaner head are what Dyson calls Fluffycones — four fluffy brush bar cones that self-remove hair or threads. The cones spin hair into a ball and roll it out, so that you can then vacuum it back in again, all without hair getting stuck inside the vacuum machine.

Thanks to the PencilVac’s twin dual drive motors being placed in the middle of the conical brush bars, they can extend all the way to both edges without being blocked by motor housings like most other vacuum cleaners. As a result, the brushes spin right up to the sides, so the vacuum can clean effectively to the very edge on both sides. You can also spin the PencilVac very easily, making it easy to clean in any direction, especially around tight spaces.

The PencilVac introduces a linear dust separation system that compresses debris so the bin can hold far more than its 0.08L capacity suggests — specifically up to five times more. A syringe-style ejection system simplifies emptying by allowing you to push dirt out while wiping the shroud clean in the same motion.

Dyson has also included the PencilVac with dual laser-like green lights to help with visibility whilst cleaning, and you can connect the machine to the brand’s MyDyson app too, where it provides real-time performance updates, battery monitoring, maintenance alerts, and tailored cleaning guidance.

Dyson V16 Piston Animal deep cleans all floor types

The Dyson V16 Piston Animal combines vacuuming and floor washing in one device. It features Dyson’s most power-dense motor yet, the Hyperdymium 900W, delivering 315 air watts.

Featuring an All Floor Cones Sense cleaner head, the V16 Piston Animal adjusts suction and brush bar speed for every floor type. Meanwhile, its Anti-tangle conical brush bars eject hair straight into the bin as you clean.

Attaching an upgraded Submarine 2.0 wet roller head removes stains and spills on hard floors, while anti-tangle brush bars and adaptive suction technology maintain performance across different surfaces.

In addition, the Dyson V16 Piston Animal’s battery is hot swappable, and with the Remote Release design, you can switch between the dry and wet cleaner heads without needing to bend down. Also, the CleanCompaktor bin allows the machine to hold up to 30 days’ worth of compressed dust.

Dyson V8 Cyclone: More suction, longer runtime

The popular Dyson V8 cordless vacuum has been re-engineered with 30% more suction, 50% longer runtime, and a new triggerless power button. It continues Dyson’s lightweight, portable format and will be compatible with a self-emptying dock from 2026.

Through the MyDyson app, users can track cleaning maps and request targeted cleans, offering more control over robotic cleaning than ever before.

Availability in Malaysia
