Mixue opens first East Malaysia outlet in Kuching

KUCHING, Sept 18: Mixue Ice Cream & Tea has opened its first East Malaysia outlet at Farley Kuching, marking a new business milestone for the rapidly growing global brand.

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said Mixue, as a renowned Chinese brand, has expanded globally with its robust supply chain, strong production capacity and unique brand appeal.

“Today, with its arrival in Kuching, it will not only provide our local consumers with high-quality beverages but also inject fresh vitality into our economy,” he said when speaking at the grand opening today.

He highlighted that Kuching and Zhengzhou in China have long enjoyed friendly relations, with collaboration in trade, culture and other fields steadily expanding.

“Looking ahead, I sincerely hope that Mixue Group will consider establishing its key Southeast Asian supply chain hub here in Kuching, Sarawak,” he added.

Wee also appealed to other entrepreneurs and Chinese brands to invest in Kuching, assuring that the city government is committed to providing a conducive business environment and supportive policies.

“The bond between Kuching and Henan Province, as well as Zhengzhou, is deepening through projects like this.

“I am confident that in the future, we will witness more enterprises, talents and cultural exchanges flowing between Kuching and Zhengzhou, driving both regions towards mutual prosperity,” he emphasised.

Also present were Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China, Xing Weiping; Farley Group director Eijing Lau; Mixue Malaysia general manager Wang Wei Long; and Mixue Farley Kuching store director Aaron Wee. — DayakDaily
