Honda Prelude 2026 Model To Get MUGEN Bodystyling

Yes, we were informed by Honda Japan senior engineering executives that the tuner Mugen is providing a carbon fiber body kit for the new Honda Prelude, which is expected to be available in 2026.

The kit will include a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a spoiler, with parts like carbon fiber mirror caps and forged wheels already available through Mugen.

So, Mugen is developing a full carbon fiber body kit that includes a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a rear spoiler. The kit will is expected to be released sometime in 2026.

Even before the full kit is released, Mugen will offers other parts like carbon fiber mirror caps, 19-inch forged BBS wheels, and a sports exhaust system.

Mugen is also offering performance dampers, upgraded brake pads, and a high-performance oil filter.  Honda also offers its own set of factory accessories for the Prelude, which are more modest than the Mugen kit. These include items like front bumper extensions and a black rear spoiler

While Honda has not announced an official bodykit for the new Prelude, the independent tuning company Mugen Motorsports has already revealed a carbon-fiber bodykit and other parts for the car. Mugen, which has a long-standing relationship with Honda, is releasing its bodykit in 2026.

Mugen’s bodykit is designed to give the new Prelude a more aggressive, track-focused look and includes the following features: 

Aero: A front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a rear spoiler. Some reports note the rear diffuser will also have a “more prominent pipe for a new sports exhaust system”.

Carbon-fiber elements: Carbon-fiber finishes on the bodykit and mirror caps.

Wheels: A set of lightweight 19-inch forged BBS wheels.

Interior: Interior upgrades such as branded floor mats and exclusive emblems will also be available. 

Other Mugen parts and accessories

Beyond the bodykit, Mugen will offer several other performance and cosmetic accessories for the new Prelude: A new sports exhaust system. “Performance dampers” co-developed with Yamaha to reduce chassis flex. Upgraded brake pads and a high-performance oil filter.
