Chinese market for robodelivery vehicle poised for growth

As a branch of autonomous driving, the Chinese market for robodelivery vehicle (unmanned delivery vehicle) is poised for explosive growth in 2025.

A market report on China Robodelivery Vehicle Industry Market Report 2023-2027 indicates that deliveries are expected to reach 39,500 units in 2025, a 348% increase from 8,800 units in 2024. The market value is projected to reach $320 million, a 229% increase from $97 million in 2024.

NEOLIX is projected to deliver 15,000 units in 2025, a 7.5-fold increase from 2,000 units in 2024, with revenue expected to reach $135 million, a 6-fold increase from 2024. ZELOS, ranked second, is expected to deliver 13,000 units in 2025, a 6.5-fold increase from 2,000 units in 2024, with revenue projected to reach $117 million, a 4-fold increase from 2024.

The most significant characteristic of robodelivery vehicle in 2025 is the substantial drop in hardware prices, with the lowest price reaching $2,500, a fourfold decrease from the previous $10,000. However, unmanned delivery software services have seen significant growth. Previously free and handled by the vehicle companies themselves, software is now offered through subscriptions, costing around $3,000 annually.

In 2025, China’s logistics and express delivery market is projected to deliver 198.6 billion parcels, with the on-demand delivery (instant delivery) market reaching 54.2 billion, and the entire last-mile delivery market reaching $82.2 billion. The production capacity of unmanned delivery vehicles reached 70,000 units in 2025, and is projected to reach 214,000 units by 2027.

Among unlisted startups in the robodelivery vehicle market, Neolix has the highest valuation at $5.5 billion, followed by ZELOS with a valuation of $5 billion. Neolix raised $700 million in 2025, while ZELOS raised $300 million.

In October 2025, JD Logistics announced plans to purchase 31 million unmanned vehicles over the next five years, deploying them across the entire logistics supply chain. Also in October, China Post, a Chinese logistics giant, placed an order for 7,000 unmanned vehicles.

Key companies involved in robodelivery vehicles:

1) As of September 2025, Neolix had delivered over 10,000 unmanned vehicles, with a monthly delivery capacity exceeding 2,000 units, deployed in over 300 cities nationwide. The Neolix X3 and X6 models have each exceeded 4,000 units delivered. Neolix has also established strategic partnerships with companies in the UAE, South Korea, and Japan, collaborating on autonomous driving, intelligent logistics, and smart city construction.

2) With the production bases in Jiaxing and Huai’an now operational, ZELOS’s production capacity has exceeded 50,000 units per year, and is expected to reach 100,000 units per year in 2026. ZELOS has already deployed its vehicles in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East. The E6 hardware is priced at $2,800 USD, and the FSD (Full Self-Driving) monthly subscription service is $260 USD per month.

3) As of August 2025, Cainiao had delivered over 1,500 unmanned vehicles and planned to deliver 2,500 this year. Due to the explosive growth of the unmanned delivery vehicle market, Cainiao signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Inspur, and the two parties will conduct in-depth cooperation on the manufacturing and application promotion of unmanned vehicles.
