One killed, several injured in three-vehicle crash near SK Telagus in Serian

KUCHING, Dec 8: A man died while several others were injured in a three-vehicle accident near Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Telagus along Jalan Balai Ringin this afternoon.

According to a report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the accident occurred at 1.18pm and involved a Toyota Avanza, a Proton Saga and a Proton X50. Firefighters from BBP Serian, led by Operations Commander PBK I Rosnani Malong, arrived at the scene at 1.55pm.

“Upon our arrival, we confirmed that four individuals were travelling in the Toyota Avanza. Three of them, an adult male, an adult female and a child, had already been taken to the hospital by the Health Ministry team.

“One adult male was found at the location and confirmed dead at the scene,” Rosnani said.

He added that all occupants of the Proton Saga and Proton X50 sustained only minor injuries. — DayakDaily
