Jeddah Disappearance Ends In Tragedy: Malaysian Actress Nadia Kesuma Suffers Heart Attack In Transit

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Malaysian actress Nadia Kesuma came to a heartbreaking end after her daughter confirmed that the beloved star passed away due to a heart attack shortly after arriving in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Nadia, whose real name is Nadiah Kasumawati Abdul Karim, was part of a 21-member group travelling on an umrah and ziarah package when she mysteriously disappeared during a brief transit at King Abdulaziz International Airport on 15 January 2026.

According to family statements and official reports, she landed safely in Jeddah around early Thursday morning, notifying her husband of her arrival.

However, she did not make it to the scheduled onward flight to London and was soon reported uncontactable.

In the days that followed, concerns escalated as authorities and the Malaysian consulate worked with local officials to locate her.

Initial reports focused on her untraceable whereabouts at the airport, sparking widespread search efforts and appeals for public assistance.

The truth emerged when Nadia’s daughter took to social media to confirm that her beloved mother had passed away due to a heart attack on the very night she reached Jeddah, around 8:05pm on 15 January.

She was taken to a hospital, however the family only found this out last night.

In her heartfelt message, the family expressed gratitude for the prayers and support they had received:

“Assalamualaikum semua, saya ingin memaklumkan bahawa mama saya, Nadiah Kasumawati Abdul Karim telah pun kembali ke Rahmatullah pada 15/1/2026… Terima kasih kepada kalian yang tidak berhenti menitipkan doa buat mama…” Nadiah’s daughter

They also asked the public to pray that Nadia be placed among the righteous, that her sins be forgiven, and that she be shown mercy in the sight of Allah.

Further reports confirmed that Nadia’s remains would be buried in Jeddah, in accordance with local procedures, with her husband and daughter planning to travel there to carry out the final rites.

The news has deeply saddened fans and members of the entertainment industry alike.

Nadia Kesuma was recognised for her roles in popular films such as Syaitan Munafik and Kudeta.
