Hands-on: Anker's new 45W charger adds a useful built-in display in a compact design [U]

At CES 2026, Anker unveiled a pretty neat new 45W charge brick with a smart display. You might’ve heard about it already, but as of today, it’s now available for purchase.

Update 2/15: Now available for purchase in Orange to match the iPhone 17 Pro!

First things first, the Anker Nano 45W is one of the most compact 45W power adapters I’ve ever seen. One of the charging trends I noticed at CES 2026 is that basically every charger is a size smaller than you’d guess it is. This is often the case as years go on, but it never ceases to be interesting – at least personally.

At this size, you’d likely guess it’s a 30W or maybe even 20W charger, but it does in fact pack a full 45W. That means that this will be one of the fastest charging options for your iPhone 17 Pro – adding up to 50% in just 20 minutes, but it’ll also be adequate for iPads and MacBook Airs.

One of the coolest things about this charger is that it has 180-degree prongs. That gives you two different angles for plugging in. The prongs can either face downward from the display as pictured above, or opposite of the display as pictured below and to the right. They also moved the USB-C port to the top of the charger, to make room for the smart display.

Physical features of the charger aside, lets get to the display.

It’ll show you how fast your phone is charging – which is rather nifty, but it also recognizes which device you’re plugged into. That allows it to better adjust the charging speeds for your device.

The new Nano 45W also offers a ‘care mode’, which you can access by tapping on the charger. This’ll make it charge slower, which can preserve your battery health during overnight charging.

You can purchase the new Anker Nano 45W with Smart Display for just $30 on Amazonat its discounted launch pricing. It’s available now in Black, White, Orange, and Blue. Some colors require an on-page coupon.

After the launch sale ends, it’ll be available for $40. If you saw this charger after CES and it intrigued you, don’t miss out!
