Android Auto users hit with 'Voice commands aren't available right now' bug
12 小时前
A bug with Android Auto is causing users to be unable to use voice commands, with a prominent “voice commands aren’t available right now” notice appearing.
As noted over the weekend by a lot of Android Auto users on Reddit, a software bug seems to be causing trouble with voice commands. The issue appears to be affecting a number of users across devices from Samsung, Google Pixel, and other Android brands. There’s also been an uptick in reports around voice command issues on Google’s forums, which continue to roll in today. Some users reported the problem as far back as January, but it’s gone more widespread just in the past few days.
Where it’s not uncommon for voice commands on Android Auto, mostly through Google Assistant, to run into issues, the difference right now is that an error message appears as the user starts the command, rather than during processing.
One user sharedan image of the notification:
Google hasn’t acknowledge the issue just yet, but some users claim it started happening right after a Google app update. Apparently, clearing the cache on the Google app at least temporarilyresolves the issue. For those affected, it appearsto be somewhat intermittent as well.
Let us know in the comments below if you’re running into this problem. We’ll keep an eye out for updates on whether or not it gets fixed, or if there’s a better workaround.
