Motorcycle enthusiasts in Malaysia are in for a treat this May. The ZXMOTO 820RR, the groundbreaking inline-three superbike from the rising Chinese brand ZXMOTO, is set to make its official Malaysian debut at the Malaysia Bike Show 2026. Scheduled for 29 May to 1 June 2026 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, this launch marks a major milestone for the brand’s entry into the Malaysian market.
With fresh-off-the-press racing pedigree—including the first-ever World Supersport (WSSP) victory by a Chinese manufacturer—this affordable high-performance machine is poised to shake up the superbike segment in Malaysia.
Founded in 2024 by Zhang Xue—the visionary behind KOVE Motorcycles—ZXMOTO burst onto the global stage at EICMA 2025. The brand’s debut lineup showcased a full range of performance-focused machines, but the ZXMOTO 820RR series quickly stole the spotlight as the flagship superbike platform.
Zhang Xue’s racing heritage shines through. Just months after its public reveal, the ZXMOTO 820RR-RS secured a historic double victory at the 2026 Portimão round of the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in the Supersport class. Rider Valentin Debise dominated both races, proving that Chinese engineering can now compete at the highest level.
This isn’t just another entry-level sportbike. ZXMOTO aims to deliver premium performance at disruptive prices, challenging established players like Yamaha, Ducati, and Aprilia.
The ZXMOTO 820RR family is built around a potent 818.8 cc liquid- and oil-cooled inline-three-cylinder engine with DOHC, 12 valves, and Bosch electronic fuel injection. Here’s a breakdown of the key variants heading to Malaysia:
Power: 99 kW (approx. 133–135 hp) @ 12,000 rpm Torque: 80 Nm @ 9,500 rpm Curb Weight: 193 kg Fuel Tank: 18 litres Brakes: 320 mm dual floating discs with 4-piston TAISKO calipers (front); 220 mm rear Suspension: Fully adjustable front fork and central monoshock Wheels & Tyres: Cast aluminium wheels with CST S7 rubber (120/70 ZR17 front, 190/55 ZR17 rear) Electronics: Electronic throttle, slipper clutch, and advanced rider aids (cornering ABS expected) Seat Height: 825 mm Dimensions: 2,050 mm long × 745 mm wide × 1,160 mm high820RR-R (Performance-Oriented)

Dry weight drops dramatically to approximately 173 kg, delivering an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Top speed claims reach 299 km/h, with 0–100 km/h in just 2.81 seconds in testing.
All models feature adjustable chassis geometry, a 6.2-inch TFT display (on higher trims), smartphone connectivity, and race-derived aerodynamics.
In Malaysia, where superbikes often come with premium price tags, the ZXMOTO 820RR stands out for its aggressive pricing. In China, the base model starts around RM28,000–RM32,000 equivalent, with higher trims still undercutting European rivals significantly. Local pricing and availability will be confirmed at the show, but expectations are high for competitive positioning against the Yamaha R9 and mid-tier Ducatis.
MForce Bike Holdings, appointed as the exclusive Malaysian distributor, has already begun endurance testing of ZXMOTO models locally. Chief Operating Officer Asri Ahmad confirmed that visitors to the Malaysia Bike Show 2026 will see the full lineup—including the championship-winning race bike—plus an opportunity to meet founder Zhang Xue in person.
The Malaysia Bike Show 2026 is the country’s largest motorcycle exhibition, drawing thousands of riders, enthusiasts, and industry players. Held at MAEPS Serdang from 29 May to 1 June 2026, the event features the latest machines, riding gear, custom builds, and adrenaline-packed entertainment.
ZXMOTO’s booth promises to be a highlight, with static displays, technical talks, and possibly demo rides (subject to confirmation). It’s the ideal venue for Malaysian bikers to experience the 820RR up close—feel the triple’s unique character, inspect the premium components, and learn about after-sales support from MForce.
The arrival of ZXMOTO signals a new era for accessible high-performance motorcycles in Malaysia. With proven WSSP success and a full range (including adventure, naked, and smaller-displacement models), the brand could expand rapidly beyond the 820RR.
For track-day enthusiasts, weekend canyon carvers, and everyday sportbike riders, the 820RR offers serious performance without the usual premium markup. Combined with MForce’s established service network, it lowers the barrier to owning a modern superbike.
Mark your calendars: 29 May – 1 June 2026 at MAEPS Serdang. Whether you’re a die-hard superbike fan, curious about Chinese engineering, or simply love two-wheeled thrills, the ZXMOTO 820RR debut is unmissable.
Stay tuned for official Malaysian pricing, availability, and test-ride details from MForce. The superbike revolution from the East has arrived—and it’s faster, lighter, and more affordable than ever.
