A CONVOY of tankers has been observed departing the Gulf and transiting the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, according to vessel-tracking data, in a development likely to attract close attention from energy markets and security analysts.

Reuters, citing data from MarineTraffic, indicated that the group included four liquefied petroleum gas carriers alongside several oil product and chemical tankers, suggesting a coordinated passage through one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints.
