M'sian Teacher Touched After Student Give Own Savings After Learning He Hadn’t Received Salary Yet | WeirdKaya
A Malaysian teacher was left emotional after one of his students quietly bought him food after learning that he had yet to receive his salary as a newly posted teacher.

The wholesome moment was shared in a post on Threads, where the teacher recounted a conversation he had with the student the week before.

“Can belanja Tealive?”

According to the teacher, the student had approached him after receiving excellent exam results and jokingly asked to be rewarded with a cup of Tealive.

The teacher then replied that he could only do so after receiving his salary, explaining that newly posted teachers sometimes experience delays in getting paid.

Surprised by the revelation, the student innocently asked whether the teacher even had enough money to eat, to which the teacher reassured him that he would manage somehow.

However, the story took an emotional turn today when the student surprised the teacher with a handwritten note and some money to buy food after learning that he had yet to receive his salary.

Deeply touched by the gesture, the teacher said he was almost brought to tears and prayed that the student would grow up to become a righteous and successful person in both this life and the hereafter.

The touching exchange has since resonated with many Malaysians online, with netizens praising the student for his kindness, empathy, and maturity at such a young age.

Many also pointed out how children often display genuine sincerity in the simplest ways, especially when they care deeply about someone who has treated them well.

“Maybe the child’s parents often practise charity at home, so the kid followed their example and gave money after hearing the teacher had no money for breakfast.”

“Wow, his parents did a great job raising him. This kid has such high empathy.”

“I used to be a substitute teacher, and one of my students once gifted me BTOB stickers because they knew I liked BTOB. Kids really are naturally attentive like that. As adults, we end up getting emotional whenever we think back about it.”
