Netflix’s Maa Behen Cast And Character Guide

Directed by Suresh Triveni, Netflix’s “Maa Behen” essentially revolves around a single mother who calls two of her daughters in the middle of the night to hide a dead body. While everyone in the society hates her, the mother does everything in her power to keep calm. The film accurately portrays the struggle of women who try to rise above the boundaries of the patriarchal society. The cast of “Maa Behen” has some of the biggest names of the Indian film industry. If you are here to find out who they are and which characters they play in this movie, let’s not wait any further.

Madhuri Dixit as Rekha

The ensemble cast of “Maa Behen” has Madhuri Dixit playing Rekha, who works as an accountant in a wine shop, and customers cannot help themselves from looking at her. From the very beginning, Rekha has not been able to ignore Adarsh Colony’s male gaze, when she first arrived there with her husband. She used to give him oil massages on the roof just to give the whole colony a show. However, her whole world falls apart when her husband dies after getting electrocuted and she has to stay independently. She has two daughters, Jaya and Sushma, but Rekha does not like them because they fight. Madhuri, of course, is a veteran Bollywood actor who has starred across some of the most popular movies in the film industry till now. We have seen Madhuri in “Aaja Nachle,” “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” “Devdas,” “Lajja,” “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!,” “Dharavi,” “Saajan,” “Dil To Pagal Hai,” “Wajood,” and “Dedh Ishqiya.” She has also starred in television series like “Mrs. Deshpande” and “The Fame Game.”

He calls her up in the middle of nowhere and asks where she is because no matter what happens, Jaya must come home and prepare food for her triplet brother-in-laws. Jaya does not like her husband due to his illicit bond with her sister, Sushma. He does not even take care of her and Jaya is trying hard to save money and get an IVF procedure done, by hook or crook. She thinks that her mother, Rekha, only talks to her because of work and does not care for her.

Dharna Durga as Sushma

Dharna Durga plays Sushma, who hates her sister Jaya to the core for any reason she can find. Sushma is a social media influencer and dreams to be a big content creator one day, only for the wrong reasons. Sushma has an affair with Jaya’s husband and despite him being her legal brother-in-law, Sushma often makes adult videos with him. This leaves some of her fans infuriated when the two of them fuss around on social media livestream, but Sushma does not care. Before joining the cast of “Maa Behen,” Durga has appeared in films like “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” and “Bhai Behen Vs The World.”

Ravi Kishan as Charitra Kumar Gupta

Charitra Kumar Gupta or Gupta Ji, has often got attracted to Rekha when she first moved into Adarsh Colony but he never showed it. Secretly, he used to be jealous of Sachin for marrying Rekha and in order to take his frustration out, Gupta Ji often shamed her for wearing sleeveless blouses in the colony. However, in the present day, Gupta secretly walks into Rekha’s house despite being married to his wife. Just when Rekha comes inside, he pounces upon her with ill intentions and she fights him back. Ravi has been an integral part of Bhojpuri Film Industry for years and he has showcased his talent across pan-Indian TV Shows like “Psycho Saiyaan,” “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter,” and “Maamla Legal Hai.” His resume contains movies like “Aryabhatt Ka Zero,” “Son Of Sardaar 2,” “Fateh,” “Singham Again,” “Mahadev Ka Gorakhpur,” “Sragaal,” “Mission Raniganj,” and “Lapaata Ladies.”

In his teenage years, when Jaya was still not married to Manas, Maheshwari fell in love with her and even to the present day, he has continued to love her the same. When Jaya comes to Rekha’s house all of a sudden, Maheshwari arrives to greet her but she fails to recognize him out of sheer panic.
