Is Helaena Pregnant With Aegon's Child In 'House Of The Dragon' Season 3?

[Spoiler Alert] House of the Dragon Season 3 episode 4 had a blink-and-you-will-miss-it moment which hinted at Helaena’s fate and how she’d influence the politics of King’s Landing (and by extension, Westeros maybe). After Daemon returned to the Red Keep with Jeyne’s gold and the decapitated head of a shepherd, who he claimed was Sheepstealer’s rider and Jace’s killer, Rhaenyra achieved some kind of closure (that her son’s murderer was dead) and respite (that the commoners will get aid). She then went to Alicent’s room, where Helaena was changing her clothes in the background, to inform Alicent that Otto’s remains had been sent to Oldtown. And she also gave Alicent the ring that Otto used to wear. Rhaenyra glanced at Helaena, much like how she had looked at Helaena earlier in the day when she was playing with Jaehaera, smirked, and then exited the room. Once the queen was gone, Helaena approached Alicent and asked her to help her with her nightgown. When Alicent tried to adjust the clothes of Helaena, she took a pause, and tried to check something about her daughter’s body, which caused Helaena to step away from her. That shocked Alicent so much that she uttered Helaena’s name with a sense of fear and excitement. What did that mean? Allow me to speculate.
The only reason that I can think is causing Helaena’s body to “grow” is pregnancy. I mean, she is too old to experience a growth spurt. I don’t think she is mutating into a monster. We haven’t seen her overeating. So, yeah, pregnancy it is. In episode 2 of Season 3, she was seen talking about the caterpillars and supposedly making some statement about how the creatures are beginning their transformation into a butterfly earlier than expected. Maybe she was talking about the baby in her belly. Now, I know what the main question is here: whose baby is it? The passage of time in the show is a bit confusing. For us, the viewers, almost 2 years have passed between Seasons 2 and 3. But, in the show, it doesn’t seem like any time has passed at all. Hence, there’s a good chance that, before heading out to the Battle of Rook’s Rest, Aegon and Helaena partook in some carnal activities because neither of them knew if the former would return from the fight unscathed or in one piece (Helaena and Aegon’s relationship makes Alicent’s scandalized reaction to Aemond kissing him seem so hypocritical). That might have been enough to get Helaena pregnant. If Helaena has started to show signs of pregnancy, then that means quite a few months have passed since the Battle of Rook’s Rest.
With all that said, there’s a good chance that the baby in Helaena’s womb is Aegon’s. Her relationship with Aegon wasn’t exactly romantic. After Jaehaerys’ death, I imagine whatever messed up romance that existed between the siblings had also disappeared. So, it’s possible that Helaena sought out other men to satiate her desires. I mean, Helaena looks like she loves being a recluse, but you never know what secrets in the world of Game of Thrones are hiding. Anyway, if Helaena’s child turns out to be a bastard, then that’s not gonna be much of an issue. Aegon is considered to be dead. So, it’s probably perfectly fine that Helaena is starting a different family outside of the Targaryen family line. However, if that child turns out to be Aegon’s as well as a boy, then things are going to get complicated because Aegon and Helaena’s child is gonna have a legitimate claim to the throne; probably an even more legitimate claim than Aemond, Rhaenyra, Joffrey (who is a bastard child anyway), Aegon (Rhaenyra’s son with Daemon), Viserys (Rhaenyra’s son with Daemon), and Daeron. If it’s revealed that Aegon is alive, then Rhaenyra will be seen as a liar, thereby reducing her chances of putting any of her children on the throne. Aemond is anyway nowhere to be found, and even if he makes his way to King’s Landing, the direct heir of Aegon will be prioritized over him. The same goes for Daeron.
The reason why I have to speculate all this stuff is because House of the Dragon has taken a major departure from the books when it comes to Helaena’s children. In Fire and Blood, Helaena initially gave birth to twins, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera, and after some time, Maelor entered the picture. Which means that, in the books, Maelor was around when Jaehaerys was killed by Blood and Cheese. Since Helaena had offered up Maelor to Blood and Cheese during that heated moment, she felt a deep sense of guilt, which created a rift between her and Maelor. Aegon was so worried about Maelor that he put him under Alicent’s care. Lucerys and Jaehaerys’ deaths led to the commencement of the civil war between the Greens and the Blacks, which came to a sort of conclusion when Rhaenyra arrived in King’s Landing to claim her throne. That’s when Larys escaped from the city with Maelor, Aegon, and Jaehaera. Larys had tasked Ser Rickard with protecting Maelor and delivering him to Oldtown. Rhaenyra ordered inquisitors to hunt down all of them but before they could get to Rickard and Maelor, the knight had been killed and Maelor had allegedly been mob lynched because the people who had caught the child simply didn’t know what they wanted to do with him. Helaena was incredibly depressed after Jaehaerys’ death and the news of Maelor’s murder pushed her off the edge and she died by suicide. Now, is it possible that the show is gonna adapt some version of this narrative? Well, it’s possible.
Look, if Alicent advises Rhaenyra to support Helaena’s child’s (let’s call him Maelor) claim to the throne and Rhaenyra asks her small council for advice and someone from that small council advises Rhaenyra to kill Maelor, then Alicent and Helaena have to take Jaehaerys and run. Where will they go? Well, Tumbleton, of course, because that place is currently a Hightower stronghold. The main problem is that the route between King’s Landing and Tumbleton is under heavy surveillance. The common folk is divided into two camps: pro-Hightower and pro-Targaryen. On top of that, Alicent and Helaena don’t have anyone they can trust to take them from King’s Landing to Tumbleton. Larys is gone and Rickard is being held captive. So, if Alicent and Helaena have to chart their escape all by themselves. And it is during this journey, I think some kinda mishap is gonna happen; my money is on Alicent, Jaehaerys, and Helaena falling in the middle of some kinda mob battle between those who are pro-Targaryen and those who are pro-Hightower. During this, I think Jaehaerys is gonna croak and Helaena will suffer a miscarriage, thereby leading to Maelor’s death. That’s gonna cause Helaena to spiral out and die by suicide. And that’s gonna deepen the rift between Alicent and Rhaenyra even though Rhaenyra didn’t intend to do anything to Helaena or Maelor. Well, that’s just my theory.
