Syed Saddiq Says He'll Run 170km From Putrajaya to Muar To Celebrate Being Acquitted Of Corruption | WeirdKaya

The announcement was made during the maiden episode of BASScast podcast, which he hosts alongside his fiancée Bella Astillah.
‘This is for my supporters’In the podcast, Syed Saddiq said the 170km run was to thank his constituents in Muar for their unwavering support throughout his six-year legal battle over corruption charges.
“A week before the 2022 General Election, I was going back and forth to court. Usually, candidates lose under such circumstances.
“But the people of Muar gave me a second chance despite everything I was facing. Insya-Allah, next year marks 10 years of my service, and I remain deeply indebted to them.”
Palace of Justice to be starting pointSyed Saddiq added that he will begin his run tomorrow once the Dewan Rakyat sitting ends and is expected to reach Muar by Sunday.
He also said the run will kickstart at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya as he wanted to pay tribute to the judiciary’s role of being the people’s final bastion of justice.
The run will also act as a fundraising campaign, with Syed Saddiq aiming to raise RM200,000 through collaborations with several brands and an online donation drive to provide iPads for university students in need and food baskets for underprivileged families in Muar.The former Youth and Sports Minister also pledged to give RM500,000 in scholarships as a way to give back to his constituents.
