DENZA Malaysia Unveils the DENZA Z9GT Making Its Asia Pacific Debut As The Most Advanced Luxury Grand Tourer

DENZA Malaysia officially unveiled the DENZA Z9GT, marking its Asia Pacific debut with a starting price of RM358,800 and introducing a new benchmark in intelligent luxury grand touring for Malaysian drivers.

Set against the iconic backdrop of the Kuala Lumpur skyline and the KL Petronas Twin Towers, the exclusive launch event celebrated the arrival of DENZA’s latest flagship model through a fusion of automotive innovation and luxury artistry. Guests were immersed in a multi-sensory experience featuring a 16-piece string quartet, an opera performance, a ballerina showcase and dynamic demonstrations highlighting the DENZA Z9GT’s advanced capabilities, including its Compass Turn and Crab Walk functions powered by the e 3 Platform. The evening concluded with a spectacular pyrotechnic display, marking the arrival of a new era in intelligent luxury mobility.

The evening was graced by Mr Liu Xueliang, Vice President of BYD and General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, who shared BYD’s remarkable journey of technological advancement, global growth and its commitment to redefining intelligent mobility.

In his address, Mr Liu highlighted BYD’s continued investment in innovation, supported by a global team of more than 123,000 R&D engineers dedicated to advancing new energy vehicle technologies. He emphasised that technology innovation remains deeply embedded in BYD’s DNA, driving the company’s pursuit of safer, smarter and more efficient mobility solutions.

He also shared key milestones in BYD’s global expansion, including the production of its 17 millionth new energy vehicles, as well as the company’s achievement of surpassing 4.6 million new energy vehicle sales globally.

Guided by the philosophy of “Technology Drives Elegance”, the DENZA Z9GT seamlessly combines advanced engineering, exhilarating performance and refined craftsmanship to deliver a new interpretation of luxury electric grand touring.

Crafted with luxury from the inside out, the DENZA Z9GT is built on BYD’s revolutionary e 3 Platform and powered by the BYD Second Generation Blade Battery, delivering a new level of performance, intelligence and efficiency. As one of the first DENZA models engineered to support BYD Flash Charging Technology, the Z9GT represents the next chapter of electrified luxury mobility, where cutting-edge innovation meets effortless everyday usability.

At the heart of the DENZA Z9GT is the e 3 Platform, DENZA’s most advanced intelligent vehicle architecture to date. Powered by a tri-motor all-wheel drive system delivering up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,210 Nm of torque, the Z9GT accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds while offering up to 701 km (NEDC) of pure electric range. Beyond performance, the e 3 Platform transforms everyday driving through advanced intelligent technologies, including rear axle steering up to 15°, a class-leading 4.62 metre turning radius, e 3 Parking, Crab Mode, Pencil Compass Turn and Vehicle Motion Control (VMC), enabling exceptional agility, precision and control across different driving scenarios.

Supporting this intelligent architecture is the latest BYD Second Generation Blade Battery, featuring a 122.49 kWh capacity and 1,000V high-voltage architecture. Designed for greater efficiency, convenience and safety, the battery supports BYD’s Flash Charging Technology, enabling charging from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. With approximately 5% higher energy density compared to its predecessor while maintaining the renowned safety standards of the Blade Battery family, the Z9GT delivers a seamless and confident electric driving experience.

Beyond technology and performance, the DENZA Z9GT features a sculpted silhouette, sophisticated design details and a luxurious cabin crafted for modern lifestyles. Premium materials, advanced comfort features, a Devialet® 20-speaker audio system, intelligent connectivity powered by a high-performance processor with Google built-in, and thoughtful practicality create a refined environment where innovation, comfort and elegance exist in perfect harmony. Together, these elements define the DENZA Z9GT as a new generation of intelligent luxury mobility.

The DENZA Z9GT is available in two exterior colours, Rime Gold and Obsidian Black, with a selection of interior combinations designed to complement each finish. The Rime Gold exterior is available with either a Dark Chocolate & Perg Beige interior or an all-Black interior featuring suede seats with yellow stitching. The Obsidian Black exterior can be paired with a Dark Chocolate & Red Velvet interior, a Dark Chocolate & Perg Beige interior, or an all-Black interior featuring suede seats with yellow stitching.
