Netflix’s 'Better Late Than Single' Season 2 Cast Guide

The new season of Better Late Than Single didn’t just bring in fancy new dating situations; it also brought in 4 game changers instead of 2. The 10-episode series ended today with only 2 couples formed from a pool of 12 people. It shows what the dating scene looks like today, and how different it is when you’re older and know exactly what you want and need. Eternal singles have a lot on their mind that can be quite fascinating to people who experience love on the regular. I suppose that’s why the show does so well and came back for a second season. I guess, in general, people enjoy watching the inexperienced try their hand at something, whatever it is. The second season had some really marginal cast members, not because of bad personalities or introversion, but because there was something boring about how they were presented by the makers of the show. Maybe this is what works in Korea, to be fair, but for me, it took me honestly a long time to remember who is who, because a lot of people just didn’t grab my attention. But in case you’re watching it after it’s over, let me make your life simpler with this cast guide. So with that said, let’s jump straight into it. 

Choi Hyun-Seo

This 27-year-old is a bigtime otaku and an art school graduate. Like a lot of otakus, real-life men didn’t really do it for her for the longest time, but meeting someone who resembled her ideal 2D man got her to reconsider things and open herself up to dating. Despite her obsession with 2D men, she’s really mature and knows exactly what she wants and needs from men. She ends up making a decision and sticking to it right from the beginning to the end of the show, making it clear how sure she is of herself, even if dating isn’t her forte. Hyun-Seo was definitely my favorite cast member this season, and nobody else was able to win me over like she did. 

Jeon Seo-Yoon

This 29-year-old identifies herself as a longtime fan of NCT DREAM, and though she’s not ever been inclined towards dating, now that she’s knocking on 30’s door, she feels like she has no choice. It’s time to get married, and lucky for her, she believes the fangirling skillset and the dating skillset have a lot in common, so she should have this in the bag. Not to be confused with Soo-Hyun, because I do think they’re roommates as well and have similar short hair, which makes them too alike on a show like this one. Seo-Yoon is very quiet and doesn’t really make much progress in the show, so she continues to be remembered as an eternal fangirl. 

Lee Han-Ju

This 27-year-old knows her own mind, and she’s not afraid to show it. As a traditional doctor who employs acupuncture, Chuna Manual Therapy, and herbal medicine in her practice, she knows what’s good for her. Unfortunately, some of the men she’s tried dating seem to be annoyed that she knows what’s good for them too, but honestly, good for her. Han-Hu might have a bit of a drinking problem, which is something that we get reminded of very often in the show. But this might see her being labeled as the one who likes to get drunk. Han-Ju has a straightforward personality, and she likes to have fun. 

Kim Soo-Hyun

This 28-year-old finds herself in the same boat as Jeon Seo-Yoon, getting on a bit and under pressure to find “the one.” She’s a K-drama fan, so she’s familiar with all the usual tropes, and who knows, maybe she’ll let herself fall into one. Soo-Hyun makes a good impression in the second half of the show, when she works hard on finding someone who is right for her. Her family is very involved in her life and even sent her on this show to find the one for her. Her mum was a part of the calls too, getting involved as much as she could. 

Han Su-Ji

This 26-year-old is no frail dependent, having had a multicultural upbringing across the US and Korea and receiving an international education in illustration. Her chosen art form is pottery, and she takes pride in her ability to take care of herself. Any man who tries to impress her will have to do more than just show he can stand on his own two feet. Su-Ji is the first game changer on this list, but she’s the most memorable of them too. To be fair, Hyuk-Joon is just as memorable, but for reasons you’ll have to watch the show to understand. She’s very vocal about her thoughts, but also somewhat shy when executing her ideas. She’s definitely the kind of person who stands out in a crowd, so it’s quite shocking that she’s been alone all her life. 

An Jeong-Eun

This 30-year-old cinephile never really found her crowd growing up, and being bullied as a child affected her ability to make connections. She hopes that won’t get in the way of her finding her special someone on the show, and she’s willing to be brave and take her chances. Jeong-Eun is definitely the most unique in terms of appearance, and that makes her stand out. This is not to say the other women are any less; it’s just that her features are very distinct. But truth be told, she didn’t seem to have that much of an impact as a game changer. 

Choi Hyuk-Joon

This 31-year-old has been a controversial player, and fans of Better Late Than Single have divided opinions about him. He’s taken voice training to sound more manly and make the ladies swoon, and he’s had a dating coach hype him up and get him to take a step forward. His dimples make everyone swoon, but what’s inside is what really matters. I personally just couldn’t stand the guy as he navigated dating on this show. No, really, it’s clear why he’s been single this long. 

Kim Jae-Seo

This 32-year-old is world famous, though not under his real name. He’s the titular Player Unknown behind Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, or PUBG, the battle royale sensation that took the world by storm nearly a decade ago. All the time he’s dedicated to this project has meant he’s had no time for dating so far, so here he is now. Personally, Jae-Seo’s makeover kinda ruined his appearance and likely made him conscious enough to turn timid in front of people. He came in looking quite unique, and his transformation was the talk of the town, but is physical appearance all you need? Plus, aren’t you always better off as your own self? 

Yoon Jung-Yun

This 26-year-old is beset by a tragic case of the nerves, and his hyperhidrosis doesn’t make things easier. As a young man who has trouble holding eye contact in conversations, Yoon Jung-Yun hasn’t even tried to start dating, but hopefully this show can help him open up and start interacting with his peers. I think Jung-Yun comes a long way over the course of the show, and he’s like the happy pill of the season. 

Ahn Seung-Hyun

This 30-year-old was a fan of the first season of this show, and the thought of finally finding someone is what got him to audition for the second season. With all his friends starting to get hitched, this show’s his best shot at finding someone, this time with a little support. Seung-Hyun seems very sincere about his decision to come on the show. However, he and Jung-Yun’s personalities are similar in one way or another, and this can cause some serious confusion 

Lee Jin-Woo

This 26-year-old might be the most experienced person on the show, though his relationship was a purely online one during COVID. Having made exercising his hobby, Lee Jin-Woo’s lost enough weight to the point that he’s secure in his own self and ready to find a partner. He’s a game changer for a reason, and you can tell from his appearance that he’s going a long way. 

Kim Tae-Hoon

This 29-year-old is potentially the Lee Han-Ju of the boys’ team, since Kim Tae-Hoon is outspoken and blunt, though it’s less endearing in a man. His hobbies include cooking and playing soccer. The Korean team’s 2026 World Cup campaign was already heartbreak enough; let’s hope his dating woes don’t add to that. Keep an eye out for the fruits he brings up for smoothies. Tae-Hoon, too, didn’t really stand out initially, but became the talk of the town somewhere in the middle. If I say more, you’ll be reading spoilers, so watch the show to know more.
