This MacBook Pro just fell below its pre-price-hike MSRP (Save $500)

Yes, we did get some sizable (and unfortunate) price hikes on the MacBook lineup recently. But, alongside the summer sale price on AirPods Pro 3 at $50 off and AirPods Max 2 at $100 off, Amazon’s ongoing $500 discount on this M5 Pro MacBook Pro might be the best MacBook deal we see for the rest of the summer, if not much longer. 

Amazon is currently offering the 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro with 24GB of RAM and the 2TB storage capacity down at $2,499 shipped in both the Silver and Space Black colorways. 

That is $500 under the $2,999 list price to deliver what is easily the best MacBook deal we have tracked since the price increases went live. 

This model is now seeing the sort of deals we typically only see on the much more high-end configurations and the M5 Max machines, and even that was and is quite rare. 

One very important thing to keep in mind here is that, while we have seen this machine sell for less before the Apple price increase, today’s deal is actually $100 less than the previous MSRP on this model before Apple jacked up the listings. 

We saw an extended period in mid/late-May to score this machine at roughly $150 less at Amazon in Space Black, but the Silver model has never sold for less than $2,399. 

In other words, even though Apple just raised the MSRP on this machine by $400, you’re still scoring it within roughly $100 off the best price we have ever tracked on the Silver model. 

These price increases aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, but this would be a pretty solid discount even if that didn’t happen, and a seriously deep price drop on the new MSRP.
