Where to pre-order Pixel 11 series: $350 gift cards, $1,000 trade-in, more

Google just launched the Pixel 11 series with a few shiny new features – literally. All four Pixel 11 devices are available for pre-order, during which some of the best deals come out.

Google’s Pixel 11 series comes in the same arrangement as last year’s release lineup. The Pixel 11 is the base model, with a similarly sized upgraded version in the Pixel 11 Pro. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is the largest option in a slab phone with Pro-level specs. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold acts as the outlier as an option for those who want a little more screen real estate on Google’s hardware.

Pre-orders start today, and the options available are surprisingly reasonable. Even though the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold have jumped in price, Google and other stores are offering boosted trade-ins for users willing to part with an old phone.

Even without a trade-in, some of these deals are hard to pass up.

Google Store

Google sets the tone for some of the other popular retailers that have the Pixel 11 available for pre-order. That tone is rather upbeat, as Google’s trade-in offers are surprisingly good this year. For instance, you can trade your Pixel 10 Pro for the new Pixel 11 Pro, and expect to get at least $500 back. It doesn’t exactly cover the cost of your device, but it puts a pretty big dent in the cost.

On top of trade-ins, Google lists an instant $100 off the Pixel 11 and up to $350 off the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. You have the option of choosing an instant credit or bundling the phone with the Pixel Watch 5, which offers discounts according to the device. The Pixel 11 can be combined with the new watch for $130 off, or $250 off with the Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL. If you get the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, the Pixel Watch 5 is free.

Best Buy

Trade estimates from Best Buy seem to be on par with Google, but cross-shopping between the two might be a good play, considering each device might be a little different from site to site. It looks like trading a Pixel 10 Pro nets you a $600 refund on the Pixel 11 or Pixel 11 Pro. That’s slightly higher than Google’s estimate. The website currently notes there’s a $700 limit on trade-ins for the Pixel 11 and a $1,000 limit for other models.

As for deals without complication, Best Buy makes a good case.

The Pixel 11 comes with a $100 gift card, while the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL include a $200 credit for use at the store’s physical and online sites. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold comes with a $350 credit.

It doesn’t look like there are any bundle deals to add the Pixel Watch 5 to your cart.

Amazon

Amazon might be one of the more confusing buying experiences, but there are a few key takeaways during the Pixel 11 pre-order period.

You can trade a device in with Amazon, and the company is adding up to a $250 bonus credit to all trade-ins for the Pixel 11 series. That being said, the trade-in values are not nearly as appealing. Using the Pixel 10 Pro as an example again, Amazon will offer $525 after the $175 rebate it adds. Getting the full $250 trade-in bonus seems to be device-dependent.

Amazon’s instant deals are good enough to consider. Gift cards are available with every Pixel 11 model, and the Pixel Watch 5 is included in a handful of bundles. Credit follows the same rules set by Google and Best Buy – $100, $200, or $350. That goes for the Pixel Watch 5, too. Bundled with the Pixel 11, it comes out to $130 off and $250 off for the Pixel 11 Pro/Pro XL. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 5 bundle saves you $400, but the difference here is that it won’t get a free watch like it will when buying from Google.

Carriers

For those looking to get the Pixel 11 models from a carrier, there are a couple of options available during the pre-order period.

There are a couple of ways to get a Pixel 11 or Pixel 11 Pro from Verizon for little to nothing, but it requires a new line. Users can switch to the Simplicity Plan and get the Pixel 11 Pro for $45/month, resulting in around $380 of promotion credits to get the device down to $15/month in payments.

Users can also switch to the Pixel 11 with a trade-in and a new line. Verizon says they’ll offer up to $1,100 for your old device through monthly promotional credits.

Users who bring their Pixel phone with a new line get a Pixel Watch 5 and Galaxy Tab S10 FE for free.

AT&T says users who have an existing plan or want to create one can get the Pixel 11 series for as low as $0 with a trade-in. You’ll need to use the AT&T app to find out how much your old device is worth.

Something to consider might be trading in your old Google Pixel, because AT&T is offering a free Pixel 11 Pro in exchange for any year/condition Pixel trade-in. That means you could hand over your original Pixel and get the new version for nothing.

T-Mobile

In the same vein, T-Mobile is offering a new Pixel 11 Pro XL for new and existing customers when adding a new line, as long as a device is traded in. The device can be in any condition.

Where should you buy the Pixel 11?

The Pixel 11’s price increase can be offset by Google and Best Buy’s deals rather easily, and the trade-in estimates Google has set seem to be a lot better than in the last couple of years, likely due to the changing price structure. Still, Google is your best bet. Remember that Google One customers get credit back for purchases, which can add up when you buy a phone. It’s often enough to get a Pixel Watch for free, or the Fitbit Air, for instance.
