Shals bids goodbye to The Curve

SHAH ALAM – Local fashion and lifestyle label Shals is preparing for a new chapter as its founder and creative director Shalma Ainaa, announced the upcoming closure of the brand’s physical outlet located at The Curve shopping centre in Mutiara Damansara.

In a video shared on her official Instagram account, the television presenter and entrepreneur captured moments around the boutique while breaking the news to her followers.

"Hi, I’m Shalma Ainaa and I'm saying goodbye to a place that has been a huge part of my journey

"This place was never just a store, it was where we celebrated our wins, learned from our setbacks and created so many memories with wonderful people while experiencing so much love and support. Above all, it’s a home for Shals," she said.

Addressing the decision to close, Shalma noted that the move felt unavoidable due to the shopping centre’s upcoming redevelopment plans.

"It's time to bid farewell to this space and all our memories here so we can make room for what comes next," she added.

Shalma also asked her followers and customers for recommendations on where Shals should open its next outlet.

"We are looking for a new home, a home that I want you to be part of from the very start. So, where should our new home be?" she asked, revealing that the team is actively searching for a physical space to relocate the store and wants input from their audience.

Founded in 2011 alongside her sister Shalmanisa, Shals has established a strong presence in the local fashion scene, combining its physical retail presence with a thriving online business.

Further details regarding the final date at The Curve and the location of the new store will be announced by the brand in due course.
