Louis Vuitton has unveiled a railway station-inspired façade at its Hong Kong Central location, turning the building into a visual tribute to the romance of travel during its refurbishment.
Introduced in October 2026, the installation draws on the House’s long-standing fascination with exploration and movement, reimagining the façade as a grand station reminiscent of the golden age of rail travel.
The design also pays homage to Hong Kong’s extensive transportation history, bringing together the city’s heritage andLouis Vuitton’s own travel legacy.
The installation coincides with the 130th anniversary of the Louis Vuitton Monogram, with the House’s signature motif incorporated into the station-inspired design.
A journey through heritageThe Hong Kong installation follows a series of notable façade projects in other major cities, including Paris in September 2023, New York in November 2024 and Shanghai in June 2025.
Beyond its visual impact, the project also addresses material reuse. Louis Vuitton says the materials used to construct the façade will be reused or recycled after the installation is dismantled, reflecting a more considered approach to temporary architectural displays.
The result is a city-facing installation that brings the House’s Art of Travel theme into the urban landscape, using the familiar imagery of a railway station to connect its heritage with Hong Kong’s identity as a global transport hub.
